Women’s Ski Pants and men’s ski pants like Snowboard Pants are essentially waterproofed. You can choose from bib styled to full body to those having suspenders. Choosing a style is individual preference but keep in mind that too tight of ski pants obstruct joint flexibility so can hamper performance which you need to mind if you are a pro.
Choosing a pair of ski pants shouldn’t be all that difficult given so many choices and brands. Here are some essential tips to buy them.
- Choose the slightly loose fitting pairs unless the shell fabric is stretchable. Tight fitting ski pants over hips and knees are seen as obstructions from pros.
- If you are a regular see that seat, knees and lower legs, the damage prone areas, have enough reinforcement support.

- Carry yours ski boots along so that you can see whether ski pants’ cuffs accommodate the boots. Cuffs are usually large with either knitted and elasticized or hemmed with drawcord for convenience; pros prefer the former style.
- Take your coach along to the stores where you are buying from.

Snowboarding Holiday, What do I need?
Hi, I’ve just signed up to go on a snowboarding holiday with some friends but it’s my first time on the white stuff!! So I don’t know what I’m going to need??? I’m only going for a week and I’ve hired all the equipment but should I buy a Ski Jacket and goggles etc?? Any recommendations for where I should buy ski jackets or trousers? Also trainers will be fine, right? Thanks!
You’ll need a jacket, some type of Snowboarding Pants, defintley goggles, a helmet, gloves. You should also check the wearther with where you are going to know how many layers you’ll be needing. There are many great websites and stores out there that you can purchase everything at. A great website to check out would be burton.com. They have everythig you’ll need and can also direct you to other websites depending on how much you are willing to spend and your style. Good luck and get lots of rest, you’ll need it. Make sure you strech good and have a hot bath afterwards you’ll need it. You’ll be very sore!!
